Test Print Run

Below are test print run cards provided to former WoTC employees. These cards were never available in packs or provided to the general public. The full scope/set and print run is unknown but this list will be updated as new cards surface. The cards were used for test printing to help finalize the finished product design. The below cards were the collection of one employee (see Barry Bonds exception), other employees may have cards as well. There are both foil and non-foil cards. Some identifiers include:

  • The point values for cards are lower than final print run

  • Some cards are foils, despite some of those players not being foils in final printing

  • Each hitter is listed as Speed 'B' and bats 'L'

  • There is a "Pop-Up" potential for the die roll, which was not an outcome in the final printing.

  • Some of the cards have an alternate back of the card design (see below).

There are five known Barry Bonds Test print runs which is the highest of any player. Two Bonds came from a source different from the remainder of the cards, indicating that multiple individuals have the Test Print cards.

Foil Test Print Runs

This is the collection of foil test print run cards that were in addition to the ones shown above which were sold on eBay; several of the players have duplicates as seen in the photo.

Non-Foil Test Print Runs

This is the collection of non-foil test print run cards. The name on some of the cards makes them appear to be foils; however, the player photo area is non-foil printing. There are duplicates of several of these players as well.
